Different Ways to Celebrate Valentine's Day

You don't have to celebrate St. Valentine's Day the same way every year. You could be single or you could be in a couple: it really doesn't matter. There are many ways to get through the day and even have a bit of a ball! You just need to think outside the box and maybe have a look at the suggestions we've found for you!

Party it Up on Valentine's Day

V Day is an excellent excuse to get your groove on and have a party. You can simply invite a couple of firends around for your Valenitne's celebration (provided your partner is okay with it as well) and see where the night takes you. There's no need to stress, either: just hang up a couple of tacky decorations. It's all mean to be in good fun anyway!

Celebrate the Ladies with “Galentine’s Day”

If you're in any way familiar with Parks and Recreation, then you will be aware of Galentine's Day which is held on February 13. Of course, this is used to celebrate female friendship but you don't necessarily have to do it on the 13th of the month. There is also nothing stopping you from doing both, so why not plan a special event for everyone? It can be an excellent way of showing your friends how much you care about and appreciate them.

Valentine's Day: Show Your Love on Valentine's Day

Giving back to the community on Valentine's Day is a truly noble idea. Instead of sitting around and feeling bad about being single, why not get out there and see what you can do to help others? Furthermore, it is an excuse to meet people in general and you may find others in the same boat as yourself. If you are in a relationship, it can be a truly special thing to do with your partner.

Try Out Something Extreme

You could also push the boat out. Go wild and try and see what else there is to do for couples. Singles don't necessarily have to be left out, either: like volunteering, it can help you to meet people or be part of your Galentine's celebrtions. Bungee-jumping, skydiving... There are a host of extreme sports and activities which will help you either celebrate the day or get it off your mind! It's a win-win for everyone!

These are of course just suggestions, but they’re still worth considering if you want to take a break from the traditional flowers/chocolates/dinner type of Valentine’s Day celebration. Involving friends is always a fantastic idea as well, after all, what’s life without love and friendship together?
